Eligibility Guidelines for Students

The CBWTP is a two-year program. Student participation is their last two years of high school.

The student has a diagnosed disability and qualifies for having a case opened with Vocation Rehabilitation.

The student's graduation goal is a job in the community. CBWTP is not designed those planning to attend vocational school, college, Carl Perkins Center or facility based employment.

Parent(s) or guardian(s) strongly support the work program and will make an effort to assist their son/daughter in obtaining and maintaining employment.

The services of an Job Coach/School to Work Advocate are clearly needed by the student.

There are reasonable expectations of future success in competitive employment for the student.

Competing behaviors are minimal.

The student's program is planned with release time to work with a Job Coach/School to Work Advocate in a community based setting during school hours.

The student's home school assumes responsibility for engaging the student in meaningful learning experiences on non-work days.
